It’s no secret that Arizona summers are hot, I’m talking walk outside and your makeup melts off two minutes later hot. Sometimes the heat can leave me feeling coincidentally not so hot, and putting on a full face of makeup isn’t a realistic option unless I want to get confused for a creepy birthday clown. Instead I am all about simplifying my beauty routine during this season and keeping is as close to natural as I can.
Here are all of my favorite beauty products that are keeping me fresh all summer long.
This moisturizer is my go to all year round, but it’s especially perfect for the summer months. It’s lightweight but oh so effective and always leaves my skin hydrated without making it feel oily.
Face sunscreen is so important, but it’s often hard to find one that doesn’t leave your skin feeling a bit cakey. I impulse bought this in Target and I have no regrets. This is the best $8 sunscreen, it feels so lightweight and my face makeup layers nicely over it.
This facial spray is so freaking refreshing. It wakes me up every morning and gives me a dewey glow. I usually just spray this over my moisturizer and sunscreen and call it a day but sometimes I will add a BB cream on top.
I very rarely add full face makeup in the summer because it has the tendency to melt right off. Sometimes though I need it for a night out, shooting or when my skin is just not cooperating. Bobbi Brown’s BB cream provides great buildable coverage that is both moisturizing and protecting (So I can skip a few steps in my usual routine).
Dark circles make me look tired even after a good nights rest. My favorite way to cover them is with this concealer. I usually go a shade lighter than my skin tone to really brighten my eyes. It’s lightweight but extremely effective, easy to blend and the coverage lasts me all day.
Glossier is all about enhancing natural beauty and their boy brow is no exception. It adds the perfect amount of tint to my brows and enhances them. The nice thing about it is its an all in one product my brows are ready to go in a few easy strokes.
Rosebud is my all time favorite lip balm. I either wear it plain and it leaves my lips looking glossy with a natural pink tint or I put it over matte lipstick to keep my lips from drying out.
I personally am not a fan of tanning, especially during summer. The heat makes laying out super unbearable but I still crave that summer glow. Tanning cream is my favorite solution. St. Tropez is my top choice because it doesn’t have a strong smell, it leaves my skin glowing, and it lasts.
Marc Jacobs has my favorite fragrances, Daisy Eau so Fresh is my summer go to. It is simple, floral and a whole lot of fun. Plus the packaging is too cute & it’s on sale!!
Dry Shampoo is my hero. This one by the Ouai smells nice and clean, plus the formula doesn’t leave my black hair looking gray like some formulas do. The oil in my hair vanishes without leaving it looking dry. I’m obsessed.
